A
variation in the FMD 11 range of capacitors that possess nominal
AC ratings are FMD 51.These are axial lead type oil impregnated,non-inductively
wound film foil capacitors designed to carry relatively large
currents. Though they were initially developed to meet specific
requirements of some customers, due to their widespread utility
in Power Electronic equipment, have been developed as an entire
range. The capacitors are offered with Aluminum can encasing,
for effective heat dissipation, in case of applications where
high peak voltages and high currents are observed. These capacitors
have threaded stud construction and also wire lead termination
if required.
FMD
51 range is designed with coils wound with paper and polyester.
Values range form 0.1 uF to 1.0 uF and voltages range from
220 VAC to 1200 VAC
